Why an attorney teaches this
For 20 years Marina practiced business law inside American companies. She sat in the meetings where people got hired, promoted, and passed over. She heard what leaders said after the engineer left the room. Most of the time, it was not about the work. It was about how the work was described.
Then she spent 10 years inside the Triangle's international community, in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. She watched skilled engineers and scientists get interrupted, talked over, and quietly skipped for promotion. Not because their English was bad. Because nobody had shown them the unwritten rules of the American meeting.
So she started teaching them. One person at a time, using their real work.
What she is not
